Naples Therapeutic Riding Center Hosts Kentucky Derby Party Proceeds to help purchase new therapy horses Naples, FL – Naples Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC), a non-profit organization providing therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-facilitated group services to children and adults with physical, social and mental health needs, will host the Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 4:00 pm at their campus located at 206 Ridge Drive in Naples. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dinner, one complimentary drink ticket, and a cash bar. During the fundraiser attendees can bid on the winning horses. A 50/50 purse will go to the winner and prizes will also be awarded to Place and Show winners. Guests are encouraged to dress the part with prizes going to the winners of the Best Hat category for the ladies and the Best Crazy Pants category for the gents. The event is being co-chaired by Jennifer Marchionda and Rachael Williams. "This is an exciting and unique way to have the Derby experience right here in our community,” said Marchionda. “Best of all, it is an opportunity to support a long-standing and much-needed therapeutic service for hundreds that need it the most.” Ferrari of Naples is the presenting sponsor who is also donating a once in a life-time tour of their factory in Italy for the live auction. Proceeds from the Kentucky Derby Party will help purchase new therapy horses for the expansion of NTRC’s therapeutic riding and equine-related group programs. “With nearly 800 riders and growing, NTRC needs to ensure we have the best herd to support our riders,” said NTRC Executive Director Martin de St. Pierre. “Horses that are purchased vs. donated have a greater longevity with the program and lower veterinarian costs allowing the riders more time with the horses to continue developing the unique bond therapeutic riding provides.” Tickets are $250 per person. There are a variety of sponsorship and underwriting opportunities available. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit NTRC.org/Kentucky-Derby or call 239-596-2988.
