Hurricane Ian Waterway Debris Removal Scheduled at Clam Pass Park The Florida Division of Emergency Management is coordinating the removal of Hurricane Ian waterway debris in Collier County. The State of Florida’s contractor is scheduled to remove waterway debris at Clam Pass Park from Monday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb 10. Hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Clam Pass Park is located at 465 Seagate Drive, Naples FL 34103. Debris being removed includes vegetation, construction and demolition materials, white goods (appliances), vessels and vehicles. While each type of debris requires distinct handling, everything will be directly removed from this staging location to approved sites for processing. To accomplish that efficiently, public access at the ramp will be intermittently interrupted for 20-minute periods, for safety concerns, during off-loading. The public is asked to be considerate of the crews’ need to clean our waterways. Every effort will be made to keep this facility open and accessible to the public. Please plan accordingly, be prepared for delays and consider using other area boat ramps. We apologize for any inconvenience. Removal of the debris will help protect our natural resources and the ability to enjoy them. Updates will be posted to the Collier County Parks & Recreation website at: https://www.collierparks.com/newsalert/beach-access-facilities-news-alert/ Comments and inquiries may be sent to WaterwayDebris@colliercountyfl.gov For more information on the project, contact Project Manager Pawel Brzeski at pawel.brzeski@colliercountyfl.gov or 239-252-2927.
