Serenity Walk Park Maintenance Project Scheduled Serenity Walk Park located on the west side of Collier Boulevard, approximately one mile north of Rattlesnake-Hammock Road in Collier County (8962 Collier Boulevard, Naples, FL 34114), will be closed for maintenance beginning on Monday, November 28 and continuing for approximately one week. The approximately 99-acre site is an existing mitigation area for the overall Lely Area Stormwater Improvement Project (LASIP). The site consists of upland pine flatwoods, palmetto prairie, hydric pine flatwoods and cypress wetlands. The park includes a one-mile nature trail, an observation area with a picnic table, interpretive/educational signage and a small parking area. The approximately 79 acres of wetlands were enhanced by the removal of exotic plants and hydrologic improvements when it was constructed about ten years ago. The improvements are required to be maintained in perpetuity. To best maintain the park, the removal of exotic and nuisance vegetation is scheduled every few years. While the park is undergoing the required maintenance, residents and visitors may want to visit other nearby parks, such as: East Naples Community Park 3500 Thomasson Drive, Naples, FL 34112 Golden Gate Community Park 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, FL 34116 Donna Fiala Eagle Lakes Community Park 11565 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34113 Palm Springs Neighborhood Park 921 Palm Springs Blvd., Naples, FL 34104 The Lely Area Stormwater Improvement Project is a stormwater facilities improvement project that is working to address a multitude of stormwater issues within an 11,000-acre area composed of two drainage basins in the Lely area.
