Curfew Enacted for Parts of Collier County and the City of Naples There will be a mandatory county curfew in effect from midnight, 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., for all incorporated and unincorporated areas south and west of U.S. 41. There will be a mandatory curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. for residential areas within the City of Naples. This curfew does not apply to the City of Marco Island and the City of Everglades. The purpose of the curfew is to protect the safety of the citizens of Collier County and their property as they begin the process of recovering from the effects of Hurricane Ian. The curfew does not apply to emergency responders, employees at healthcare facilities, critical staff for businesses that provide essential services, or those seeking medical assistance. Violation of the curfew is a second-degree misdemeanor. Residents with questions may call the Hotline at (239) 252-8444 (within Collier County, residents may dial 311). Help Displaced Animals Get Back Home As our community continues its recovery efforts after Hurricane Ian, Collier County Domestic Animal Services would like to remind you that if your pet was displaced by the storm, or if you have found a stray animal, we are here to assist. You can visit our shelter at 7610 Davis Boulevard, Naples, Florida or our website at www.collierpets.com to see if your missing pet is at our shelter and to fill out a lost pet report. If you have found a pet, please fill out a found pet report and bring the pet to us to scan it for a microchip so we can help reunite missing pets with their owners. Our shelter team is here to assist you Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. From the day of the storm, Wednesday, September 28, to today, October 18, Collier County Domestic Animal Services has taken in 176 stray animals. We are happy to announce 42 pets have been reunited with their families. People throughout our community have suffered so many losses, but their pets shouldn’t be one of them.
