Disaster Response Effort for Those Living with Diabetes. WHAT: A group of Southwest Florida non-profits, with expertise in diabetes management have collaborated to form a disaster response team to provide immediate relief for those living with diabetes. The collaborative effort offers free medical-screenings, diabetic supplies, and replacement insulin without charge. Dr. John Querci, Downtown Doctors Care, has volunteered to serve the medical care needs for the collaborative crisis response team. Anyone in need who lives with diabetes is eligible to receive medical screenings, insulin, medical supplies, and participate in a self-management program if they desire.
