Wellfit Welcomes Williams Non-profit plans for future and growth through strategic planning funded by local foundations Naples, FL--Wellfit Girls is pleased to announce that Tracey Williams was recently selected to serve as their new Executive Director. An experienced nonprofit leader and native of Northwest Florida, Williams moved to Naples after in-depth strategic planning and executive search led by Soukup Strategic Solutions of Naples. ?Assuming responsibilities in May, Williams has already led the organization through the completion of a hugely successful teen summer program ending last month. Girls from Lee and Collier Counties participated in the three-week leadership and personal development camp that culminated with a five-day hiking expedition to Amicalola Falls, Georgia. Feedback from return campers, facilitators, and parents exclaimed the experience was “life changing”, “life-saving”, and one of “the best experiences ever”. Natalie Bradley was hired last year as Program Director, enabling Williams to begin focus on long term strategic planning initiatives that include an expanded board of directors team, increased community involvement and program reach, new and more funding sources, infrastructure, and the overall sustainability of Wellfit Girls. “We are excited to have Tracey join us at such a pivotal juncture for our organization” said Debra Frenkel, Board Chair. “As we approach our 10-year anniversary I am confident that we have hired the right person to lead us in our mission to inspire, challenge, and empower teen girls to climb high in all areas of life.” Williams is a USAF military veteran who brings 30 years of professional leadership experience with emphasis in community-based non-profit organizations. Prior positions include Executive Director of Navarre Area Board of Realtors and President/CEO of Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Most notable is her track record of revitalizing and transforming 501(c)3 non-profits that serve vulnerable populations--from children in foster care and homeless families, to a countywide shelter/humane society for abused and neglected animals. Williams said that the position at Wellfit is a dream job, and a place she plans to call home personally and professionally. “This move to Naples, and this position at Wellfit Girls feels like a gift to myself," she said. "What better way to invest in my personal growth and wellbeing than to work for an organization whose mission is to empower girls and to approach everything we do authentically and holistically” she continued. “I am blown away by the profound impact our programs have on girls who join us for friendship or confidence and leave with a sense of purpose and empowerment.” Through generous donors and grants including The Community Foundation (Cape Coral) and Collier Community Foundation, Wellfit Girls continues to partner with Soukup Strategic Solutions and seeks to expand their leadership and programming.
