YLC Announces Recipient of 2022 Youth Leadership Collier Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award Naples, FL (August 29, 2022) – Youth Leadership Collier (YLC), of the Greater Naples Chamber, announced the recipient of the 2022 YLC Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award, which honors an individual who embodies the mission of YLC with exemplified leadership through community involvement and professional achievements. This year the Youth Leadership Collier Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award for 2022 went to Emily Budd-Schepperly, graduate of Youth Leadership Collier Class of 2009. Budd-Schepperly is the Director of Development at David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), where she is responsible for the planning, execution, and management for all fundraising activities, including major gifts, events, grant solicitations, donor relations, corporate partnerships, and planned giving. Budd-Schepperly joined the DLC Development team in 2017 as the Associate Director of Development specializing in event management, community partnerships, and volunteer engagement. Prior to joining DLC, she served as the Career Events and Marketing Coordinator for Florida Gulf Coast University, Executive Assistant to the CEO and Office Manager for Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, and Program and Events Coordinator for Champions for Learning. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations with a minor in nonprofit leadership from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. In addition to being a graduate of Leadership Collier Foundation’s Youth Leadership Collier (YLC) Class of 2009, she is also a graduate of Associate Leadership Collier (ALC) Class of 2014 . In 2019, Budd-Schepperly was recognized by Gulfshore Business as one of SWFL’s 40-Under-40. As a Naples native, she values being active in the community and volunteering with organizations such as Association for Fundraising Professionals, Grace Place for Children and Families, American Cancer Society, Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, The League of Courageous Women, Collier Honor Flight, and The Naples Winter Wine Festival. Budd-Schepperly has previously served as the president for the Young Professionals of Naples too.
