Pace Girls Pickleball with Pickleball Champion Jay “Gizmo” Hall On July 11, 2022, Jay “Gizmo” Hall, pickleball champion from Warrenton, Virginia, shared his testimony of life and his talent with the girls at Pace Collier at Immokalee giving them introductory lessons to the game of pickleball. This was the first time many of the girls had exposure to the game which they enjoyed so much that Hall will be making a return trip next month. Hall, who runs Gizmo Pickleball Farm with his wife Laine Hall, shared that “this (Pace) is one of the institutions I am loving to support as they are trying to catch the kids before they get to the juvenile detention centers that I am going to speak at.” Hall donated pickleball equipment for the girls to continue practicing the game until he returns for more lessons. “Jay has so much energy and passion for his mission to help address kids needs for mental health, self-esteem and fitness,” expressed Marianne Kearns, Executive Director of Pace. “Thanks to Jay our girls are learning a new skill and having some fun along the way. We are grateful for his involvement with our program.” If you have a talent that you would like to share with the girls at Pace, please reach out to Sharon Tolnai, Development Manager at Sharon.Tolnai@pacecenter.org or call 239-470-3104.
