Fort Myers, FL (July, 2022)- Alliance for the Arts announced today the appointment of four new members to the board of directors. This brings the total number of board members to fifteen. “I am thrilled with the new board members,” said longtime board secretary Carolyn Gora. “Each one brings their own experiences and expertise.” Lisa Duritsch is the President of WoMech & Waterside Mechanical. Lisa previously attended events and classes at the Alliance for the Arts, giving her an excellent insider viewpoint. Greg Blurton is the Vice President of Edison National Bank. He was previously the CFO for the Lee County School District and was featured in SWFL Leaders Forty under Forty. “I have had many fulfilling experiences being involved with the Alliance,” said Blurton. “I have enjoyed the programs and events, met many great people, and established relationships that have enriched my life personally and professionally as a local banker and Rotarian. I am honored to serve the Alliance as it is a great opportunity to expand the tremendous impact the arts have on me, my family, my business, and the greater community.” Greg Gebhard, is the co-owner of Nice Guys Pizza, and sits on the Board of PRIDE Cape Coral since 2019. Greg is always seeking new ways to bring music and art to Cape Coral. In his free time, Greg likes to play music, go to shows, try new and exciting foods, and explore nature. “I want to be on the Alliance Board because I want to help bridge the gap between Cape Coral and Fort Myers from an arts standpoint,” Gebhard said. “Both cities have a ton to offer, and working together is a surefire way to build up the art community on both sides of the river.” Marilyn Santiago is a Partner and Head of Marketing at Creative Architectural Resin Products, Inc. as well as the President of Sunshine Integrated Solutions. She is a board member on numerous local community organizations, a champion of Latin culture and was inducted into the 2020 Fort Myers edition of The KNOW Tribe Book. “Art changes lives in so many positive ways,” said Santiago. “I want to be part of that change and help provide access to art to all communities” Alliance for the Arts is always grateful for all of its Board Members who contribute their valuable time in supporting culture through their effectiveness as both ambassadors and advocates. “Lisa and her husband have been longtime supporters of the Alliance,” Gora goes on to explain. “Greg Blurton represents the banking community. Greg Gebhard is a business owner who lives and works in Cape Coral. And Marilyn is an exuberant representative of our Latin Community. Our goal is more diversity among board members. This is a great start.” About Alliance for the Arts Currently in its 47th year, the Alliance for the Arts is a nonprofit community visual and performing arts center located in the heart of Fort Myers, Florida.
