Toni-Ann participated in many CSN concerts and theatre productions as a student, and was known for her powerful voice. As Miss Jamaica, representing the country of her birth, Toni-Ann won the competition from among a field of 112 contestants after her remarkable performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” A graduate of Florida State, she has her degree in psychology and women’s studies and plans to continue on to medical school. At the pageant in London, she told host Piers Morgan, “I think I represent something special, a generation of women that are pushing forward to change the world.” Head of Community School Dr. David Watson said, “Toni-Ann always lit up the room with her smile and her beautiful singing voice.
