United Way of Collier County (UWCC) proud to announce the appointment of six new members to its Board of Directors. The new appointments are Peter J. Berry of Berry² & Associates, LLC, Thaddeus Cohen from the Collier County Growth Management Department, Kathy Connelly from the Naples Botanical Gardens, Jane Knoble-Man~alich from Collier County Public Schools, Jim Moslow from the SCORE Association, and Mike Riley from the NCH Healthcare System. "Year after year I’m astounded at the level of experience we’re able to access with our board,” said Steven L. Sanderson, President and CEO of UWCC. “We have an amazing leadership culture in place, and we couldn’t be more pleased with these appointments. Each of these individuals’ professional backgrounds and deep, passionate commitment to community improvement will contribute insightful perspectives to our United Way.” Each new board member brings a wealth of experience to bear on our United Way, and Collier County as a whole. Jane Knoble-Man~alich’s current role as the head of the Benefits and Wellness Office for Collier County Public Schools involves all aspects of identifying and implementing benefits and wellness programs to help employees and their families. She is a member of SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Management, and has been involved in the Collier County and Tri-County Human Resources Associations. Peter J. Berry founded and manages a firm that provides services in meeting management, destination marketing, government relations, and interim CEO assignments. He is a veteran of association management, having served as Chair of the ASAE International Section Council, President of the Connecticut Society of Association Executives and the Connecticut Convention and Sports Bureau, a member of the Board of Trustees for Connecticut State University, and President of the Central Connecticut State University Alumni Association and the Kingwoods-Oxford School Parents Association to name just a few. Thaddeus Cohen serves the Collier County Growth Management Department as Department Head, overseeing more than 520 full-time employees and a budget of more than $242 million. On top of his extensive management experience, Thaddeus brings invaluable knowledge of Collier County infrastructure and development, with experience in: building review and permitting; code enforcement; zoning and future land use; roads and bridges; transportation engineering; coastal zone management; capital projects; stormwater management; roadway landscaping; environmental planning; pollution control and prevention. As Director of Human Resources at the Naples Botanical Garden, Kathy Connelly develops and executes strategies to improve employee engagement, employee retention, and overall workforce performance. Jim Moslow serves as a business counselor, Director of Technology and a member of the Board for SCORE Naples, a non-profit that provides free business counseling for start-up and established businesses. He has over 40 years of experience in information technology, service operations, project management, business process improvement and business counseling. Finally, Mike Riley has been the Chief Strategy Officer for the NCH Healthcare System since 2008, where he is responsible for coordinating the strategic planning process for NCH by working closely with the Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership, and Physician Leadership in the development of short-and-long range strategic plans. He is also responsible for executing and implementing major strategic initiatives which have included the Mayo Clinic Care Network affiliation with Mayo Clinic, the Blue Zone Initiative, and the development of several services including the growth of the NCH Physician Group and other products and service lines offered by NCH.
