(NAPLES, Fla.) – The Honorable Jeanine Pirro host of Fox News Channel’s “Justice with Judge Jeanine” made a special stop in Naples on April 4, 2019 to talk about overcoming obstacles at a fundraising event sponsored by the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida. More than 250 people attended the event held at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples. Judge Pirro spoke for nearly 45-minutes about her career path as a prosecutor and how she overcame barriers to become the first woman elected as a District Attorney and County Judge in Westchester County. At the end of her intimate talk with the audience she took questions from the floor, moderated by emcee and NBC-2 News Anchor Stacey Deffenbaugh. The event would not have been possible without sponsorship and ticket sales. Title sponsor of the event was BB & T. Sponsors at the Diamond level include: Arden Courts Memory Care Community & Lely Palms Retirement Community; Jan and Steve Patterson and Rita and Harold Rosser. At the Gold level was Bayshore Memory Care of Naples; BrightStar Care; George and Helen Fox Family Foundation; Nova Wealth Management and Right at Home. All programs are provided free of charge. The Parkinson Association receives no federal funding to offset program costs. It is through generosity of the community that the non-profit is able to provide programs at no cost. Programs include exercise classes, speech therapy, support groups, education programs, music therapy and social events. Statically speaking, every nine minutes someone in our community is diagnosed with Parkinson Disease. PD is the fastest growing disease in our country.
