The Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County will present the Pete Hegener Leadership Award on April 18, 2024. While this prestigious annual award goes to only one person, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce all 10 of this year's nominees in social media posts between April 4 and April 17. Each of these nominees inspire us and they've all made significant contributions to the St. Lucie County community. Lee Dobbins, Shareholder, Dean, Mead, Minton & Moore One of the first major assignments Lee Dobbins took on as an attorney with Dean Mead was handling the City of Port St. Lucie’s purchase of its water and wastewater utilities from the county. That transaction laid the foundation for development of the infrastructure that has fostered much of the city’s amazing growth. Since then, in his nearly 30-year career as an attorney focusing on land use, zoning and commercial real estate, Lee’s work has resulted in many signature developments which have enhanced St. Lucie County. Lee has developed a lifetime of enduring business alliances due to his genuine focus on developing relationships, fostering cooperation and working with great effectiveness. He has helped guide the community’s growth, making a direct impact on economic growth and job creation in the county by assisting his clients as they navigate the entitlement process. Lee is a trusted business connector.
