The philosophy of Seacrest Country Day School includes the belief that within each student is a source of unlimited potential and opportunity. Leadership, Character and Ethics, Creativity and Joy—guideposts of our school culture—are woven throughout the curriculum and serve as the underlying principles of a Seacrest education.
Independent and co-educational, Seacrest offers an academically rigorous, multi-sensory, integrated curriculum to over 570 students from Collier and Lee Counties from Prekindergarten through high school. Founded in 1983 and named an “Outstanding Model School of America” Seacrest has enjoyed an enrollment growth of 70% over the past ten years.
Two thirds of Seacrest teachers hold an advanced degree, over half have more than ten years experience, and the student to faculty ratio is 8:1.
Seacrest students consistently score in the top 1% of the nation (99th percentile) on the Stanford Achievement Tests when compared to schools of similar size. Over 50% of middle school and 50% of fourth and fifth graders qualify for the Duke University Talent Search Program for gifted students.
Seacrest is committed to a multi-cultural and socio-economically diverse student body. In the school year 2007-2008 over $800,000 in need-based financial aid will be awarded to over 25% of the students.
In 2006 a new 30 acre high school campus was added complete with state-of-the-art technology classrooms and athletic facilities for soccer, track, baseball, and basketball.
