Naples, FL: (May 21, 2018) . . . More than $80,000 in college scholarships has been awarded to high school and college students pursuing education relating to careers within the construction, engineering, architecture and connected trade industries since 2005, under the leadership of the Collier Building Industry Association (CBIA) through its Collier Building Industry Foundation (CBIF), a 501(c) 3 organization to support educational and charitable philanthropic activities. According to CBIA executive director Kathy Curatolo, CBIF scholarship applicants are students in good standing and recommended by their teachers or returning students with a strong interest in the construction industry and/or related trades who desire to pursue higher education opportunities. Today, she announced the following eight students have been awarded CBIF scholarships for the 2018-19 school year: 1) Isabella Beauchamp, GulfCoast High School, received a $500 scholarship to study interior architecture at the University of Tennessee 2) Mitch Crawford, GulfCoast High School, received a $500 scholarship to study construction management at Wentworth Institute of Technology 3) Caleb Froitzheim, Barron Collier High School, received a $500 scholarship to study construction management at Florida Institute of Technology 4) Jacob German received a $750 scholarship to continue his study in architecture at Florida Atlantic University 5) John Granholm received a $2,000 scholarship to continue his study in construction management at the University of Florida 6) Jovens Gustave, Barron Collier High School, received a $500 scholarship to study construction management at Florida Atlantic University 7) Julia Kennealy, Barron Collier High School, received a $500 scholarship to study architecture at Florida International University 8) Jessica Marin, Lely High School, received a $500 scholarship to study architectural design and construction technology at Florida SouthWestern State College.
