Marco Island, April 25, 2018: - Marco Island Center for the Arts is pleased to announce that the Summer Art Program for Youth has received a grant from The Marco Island Foundation for the Arts (MIFA). Other Marco Island organizations that have become supporters of this cornerstone arts program on the island are: Rotary Club of Marco Island Sunrise, Haunschild Charitable Foundation, and the Wesley United Methodist Church Marco Island. The financial support from MIFA and the other supporters allows the Art Center to continue to offer classes for students age 6-14 during the months of June and July. These classes will emphasize imagination and creativity through development of artistic skills. For many Marco Island families the Youth Art Classes are a summer must do! Marco Island Center for the Arts thanks the organizations for their financial support and awareness that art classes for youth builds confidence and critical thinking skills that serves them well throughout their adult lives. The 2017-2018 Exhibition Season is supported by a Community Grant from Walmart. We thank them for their support of the Arts in our community. About Marco Island Center for the Arts Founded in 1969 by a dedicated group of artists and patrons, the non-profit Art Center has developed into a place to gather, to learn and to become inspired. The program offerings include classes and workshops for adults and children. The Art Center brings a wide variety of arts to the community including visual, music, literature, and special presentations.
