Naples, Fla., (April 18, 2018) – Members of the armed forces, military veterans, and their families are invited to join Avow on Friday, May 18th at the Ispiri Community Center on Avow’s campus in Naples for its annual Armed Forces Appreciation event. The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a free breakfast, and a patriotic and inspiring presentation will follow. The event is free and open to those who have served in the armed forces and their families. As seating is limited, please RSVP by May 11th by calling 239-430-3194 or emailing saceto@avowcares.org. This year’s Armed Forces Appreciation Event will feature Major General J.T. (Mike) Coyne, USMC, Retired, as the keynote speaker. He will discuss how military training provides servicemen and women with a foundation for future success. Avow’s Veterans Services program honors both patient and community veterans through special ceremonies for hospice care and palliative care patients, and through special public events throughout the year. Avow is a 4-star “We Honor Veterans” partner with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Avow was founded in 1983 as Collier County's original, nonprofit hospice. Today, Avow's nonprofit companies provide palliative care consultations for adults facing chronic or serious illness and hospice care and bereavement support services for children and adults.
