NAPLES (Florida), United States – Sept. 27, 2017 – Naples’ premiere opera company, Opera Naples, is performing Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini on November 3rd at Artis–Naples at 7:30 PM to kick off their 2017-2018 season. This production is a completely re-designed, original production that will showcase beautifully stunning original costumes and scenic design. Based on the timeless theme of love and heartbreak combined with the clashing traditions of East and West, Madama Butterfly is one of Puccini’s great masterpieces, full of ravishing melodies and emotional intensity. Opera Naples presents conductor Ramón Tebar, Stage Director Jeffrey Buchman, a cast of international artists and the Naples Philharmonic in a fully-staged production that promises to be one of this season’s outstanding events in Naples. Performing the captivating title role in Madama Butterfly is soprano Yunah Lee, reprising the role she performed in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
