Marco Island, September 22, 2017: - Mr. Dave Rice will be leading the effort to clean up the property of the Island’s artful treasure, Marco Island Center for the Arts. Dave Rice is a long-time dedicated volunteer and well known member of the Marco community who has spearheaded many crucial projects for The Art Center. In 2013, he was the chief “Pied Piper” and created a team of volunteers to paint The Art Center in its signature colors of red, blue and yellow. It has been sparkling ever since. Mr. Rice wearing a brightly colored t-shirt, the Florida version of Pied Piper attire, cheerfully walked into The Art Center and offered to take the lead on the important project of outdoor clean up. With your assistance on Saturday, September 30, 2017, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm the property will return to its pre-hurricane artful glory. The Pied Piper needs your help and your friends help and their friends help, etc. Please dress for yard work and bring rakes and gloves, if available. At 4:00 pm pizza will be served as a gigantic thank you. We make volunteering a party!!! If you would like to join Dave Rice’s volunteer team of Pied Pipers please call The Art Center at 239-394-4221. A team press photo will be taken. You must wear a red, blue or yellow t-shirt or top to be included in the photo. Show your artful Marco Island spirit! Let’s make Marco Island Center for the Arts shine again!!
